Exclusive: KRS-One’s New EP to Go After ‘Disrespectful Emcees’
Bronx Hip-Hop legend KRS-One has finished a new EP focused on calling out rappers that have questioned or challenged him over the last several years. Named Back to the L.A.B. (Lyrical Ass Beating), the EP features 6 tracks and as of press time no confirmed guest appearances. KRS launched his career in 1987 on the strength of the now legendary Bridge Wars, a lyrical battle his BDP (Boogie Down Productions) camp initiated against Queensbridge pioneers Marley Marl and MC Shan, and their affiliates in the Juice Crew. In addition to the new EP, KRS-One plans to re-release his albums such as Criminal Minded, Spiritual Minded, and Hip-Hop Lives. Back to the L.A.B. has production from DJ JS-1 and the Beatminerz. Breaking News: DJ Premier Issues Formal Statement On Guru
DJ Premier has issued his official statement on the death of former rap partner Guru. Both men release six influential albums as Gangstarr. “It was a sad day for me to get confirmation on the death of man who I will continue to call my brother, Keith Elam, better known as Guru of the legendary Gangstarr. From 1988-2004, we experienced so much success together that we were able to expand our business independently and give each other what Guru called ‘creative space,’ before planning to reunite for our 7th LP when the time was right. Tragically, we will never reach that day.” DJ Premier also addressed an alleged letter Guru wrote prior to his passing, which slighted the legendary producer. “I’ve been asked to comment on a letter speaking ill of me which was supposedly written by Guru in his dying days. All I will say about it is that our time together was beautiful, we built a Hip Hop legacy together, and no one can re-write history or take away my love for him. One thing I would never do is play around with the truth about his life.”

Guru of Gangstarr Dies, Writes Letter To Supporters
Legendary Gangstarr artist Guru has succumbed to cancer after a lengthy bout with the disease. The artist, born Keith Elam, died on Monday April 19. He was 43 years old. Solar, Guru's partner, expressed sadness over the loss. "The world has lost one of the best MCs and Hip-Hop icons of all-time -- my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru," Solar said in a statement. "Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle.” Guru, a Boston native, rose to fame in the 80's as one half of Gangstarr, the iconic rap group with DJ Premier. The group released six highly regarded albums in their tenure until 2003 when they broke up. After his successful run with Premier, Guru founded 7 Grand Records with producer Solar. Solar also said that Guru wrote a final letter to fans and sent it out through a press agency. “I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options.”

Master P. Jumps Into MMA World To Raise Money For Haiti
Master P. will jump into the world of Mixed Martial Arts next week during a fight designed to raise proceeds for Haiti. Miller will serve as a judge during the WGC Fight for Haiti MMA bout taking place at the Pasadena Convention Center on April 9th in Pasadena, Texas. Rapper Chamillionaire, Marcus Spears, Torrie Wilson, LeToya Luckett, Kyle Lowry, Michael Clayton and Mario Williams are among the celebrities slated to attend the event. Jay-Z, Russell Simmons Rally For 7-Year-Old Rape Victim
A number of Hip-Hop heavyweights will head to Trenton, New Jersey in support of this weekend's "Stop the Violence” rally. Hip-Hop superstar Jay-Z will take part in the rally, after hearing the shocking story of a seven-year-old girl, who was gang raped in an apartment in the city on March 28th. Russell Simmons is hosting the event, while the Rev. Al Sharpton and other community leaders are expected to join Jay-Z for the rally, which takes place on Saturday (April 10th) at 7:00 PM at The Lighthouse Outreach ministry. In addition to Jay-Z and Russell Simmons, rappers Ludacris, Chuck D. and Trenton's own Wise Intelligent of the Poor Righteous Teachers will deliver taped messages to attendees. The rally is a reaction to the shocking news about the seven-year-old, who was assaulted by seven men, ranging in age from 13 to 20 years-old. According to reports, the girl’s 15-year-old sister took an undisclosed amount of money and sold herself and her younger sister for sex during a party. Police have arrested five men believed to be involved with the crime and they seek two more rapists, who allegedly also forcibly penetrated the young girl.

Suge Knight Loses Teeth In Car Accident
(AllHipHop News) Marion “Suge” Knight was involved in a car accident that knocked out his front teeth, according to his lawyer, Marc Brumer.
Brumer told The Miami New Times, that last week, Knight missed a deposition for a lawsuit he filed against Kanye West in Miami, due to the car accident.
"He was in a pretty serious car accident," Brumer told The Miami New Times. "He lost a couple of teeth, he's in pain, and he can't speak."
The former Death Row Records’ boss is suing Kanye West and The Shore Club over a 2005 shooting during an event West hosted at the South Beach hotspot.
Knight was shot in the femur and had to undergo surgery. Additionally, Knight claims West is responsible for his medical bills and a $135,000 diamond earring that was allegedly stolen from him during the fracas.
"He's a very adept businessman,” Brumer said of Knight. “He's a mess, but he's sharp. Nobody likes Kanye West anymore. Even though he's still selling millions of records, everybody's sick of him.”

Bone Thug’s Address Bizzy Bone’s Absence From Tour
The reunited collective of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will hit the road this month for their official reunion tour, although fans will only see four of the original members. Krayzie, Wish, Layzie and Flesh-N-Bone will tour for the first time together in over a decade, minus original group member Bizzy Bone. Internet rumors credited Bizzy’s absence to everything from a probation violation to a stint in rehab as potential reasons for his non-participation in the tour. Layzie Bone told AllHipHop.com that it was simply a business decision for Bizzy Bone, who opted to remove himself from being involved with the tour, although he is prominently featured on Uni5: The World’s Enemy. “That’s true, he has other obligations and we had a difference of opinion on how much we should get for this tour,” Layzie Bone told AllHipHop.com. “We looked at it like promo tour, he looked at it a little differently, which is cool, because his arrangement doesn’t require him to be there. He’s still a 1/5th member of Bone. We been together for 18 years now. We are all grown men, so we all have different arrangements within the Bone structure. The main thing about it, we don’t ever give up. The group is slated to launch a 34-date tour on March 24th, in support of their new album, which is due in stores on April 27th.

Houston Rapper Trae Tha Truth Address Radio Ban; Plans New Mixtape
Texas rapper Trae Tha Truth continues with his career, despite a ban on commercial Hip-Hop stations in Houston according to reports. Almost 1,000 people have signed a petition circulating around the Internet requesting that KBXX 97.9 The Box lift “a ban” on the rapper, which was reportedly enforced after a July 2009 shooting erupted during “Trae Day.” “I aint into making nobody famous, but at the end of the day you gotta understand one thing. I keep it too thorough for the streets, so people are going to ride or die with me,” Trae Tha Truth told AllHipHop.com. “I’m too real for that, you can’t ban me.” Trae will address the ban on his new mixtape, Can’t Ban Tha Truth, the follow-up to his recent street album, The Incredible Truth. Additionally Trae has finished work on his upcoming album Tha Truth which features the single “Incredible,” featuring Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. A video for “Incredible” will be released next week.

Haiti Earthquake and U_S_ Fault Lines Could It Happen in America - ABC News
Experts say large 'high-seismic hazard' exists across U.S.
As the outpouring of support for earthquake-ravaged Haiti continues, seismologists say a similar catastrophe can happen thoughout the United States.
"Earthquakes are a national hazard," David Applegate, a seismologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, told "Good Morning America."
People usually associate earthquakes with the West Coast, the Pacific Northwest and Alaska but 39 of the 50 states -- including New York and Tennessee -- have moderate to high seismic hazard risk, Applegate said.
The New Madrid fault in the central United States is particularly dangerous. The fault is among the most active in the country, running from St. Louis to Memphis.
New Madrid Earthquake Caused River to Run 'Backward'
The New Madrid fault line is best known for some of the most violent earthquakes to ever hit the United States: a series of four in 1811 and 1812. The quakes were estimated at magnitude 7.5 to 8.0, so strong the Mississippi River reportedly flowed backward. Damage occurred as far away as Washington, D.C., and Charleston, S.C.
Some New Madrid, Mo., residents saw large cracks open in the ground. The crew of a steamboat mooring overnight along a Mississippi River island reportedly awoke to find the island had disappeared below the water.
"We have about 200 small earthquakes per year that we record," said Gary Patterson of the University of Memphis Center for Earthquake Research and Information. "Compared to California, you're getting two to three thousand smaller quakes like that, but for eastern North America, this is a hot spot, the most active seismic area east of the Rockies in the United States."
As for whether there is a big earthquake on the way for the zone, Patterson said there have been major earthquakes in the area about every 500 years in the past 1,500 years. The earthquakes happened as a part of a sequence of events, not just one main shock, he said.
Ramapo Faults Spans N.J., N.Y. and Pa.
Several small quakes were centered last month near the New Madrid fault in southeast Missouri, including some that were felt in parts of Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. No damage was reported.

Another well-known fault line is located in New York City. It crosses Manhattan from the Hudson River to the East River, running approximately along 125th Street.
The Ramapo Fault, another New York Metro-area fault line, runs 70 miles through New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
The fault has been quiet for about 200 years, which is part of the problem, seismologists say.
"We know in the future at some point an earthquake is going to occur but we don't really understand the rules of the game yet in this area, so we can't come with numbers and specifically tell you what the hazard is going to be," Leonardo Seeber, a research scientist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University in New York, said.

The project is being released by Grandaddy Purp Music, a record label founded by medical marijuana advocate Ken Estes.
The full album was conceived after Estes and Bay Area rapper produced the 11-minute-Hip-Hop video “Leave Ken Alone” in 2008.
Estes is a controversial figure who has been featured on segments on CNN, FOX and other news outlets.
His medical marijuana dispensaries around Northern California have been raided numerous times, despite being legal by the state of California.

Mastering won’t fix a bad mix. But it can make a good mix sound great, adding excitement, punch, a wider sense of sonic space, and new color to the music you’ve made. How? B.I.G.'s Estate Hit With $5 Mil Lawsuit Over B.I.G. Home Vids
Faith Evans has been hit with a lawsuit over personal home videos of Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace. Kaushi Entertainment and Dro-Entertainment filed their lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming that they struck a deal with Evans in February of 2007 to sell the personal videos featuring B.I.G. for $30,000. Kaushi Entertainment claims they were supposed to purchase the films from RocDarling Films, a company owned by B.I.G.‘s associate, Damion “D-Roc” Butler. Kaushi Entertainment says they made the payment to B.I.G’s estate and received permission to use the videos, which were never delivered. The company seeks over $5,000,000 in damages over the botched deal. Also named in the lawsuit are Faith Evans, Damion Butler and RocDarling.

BBC could be on its way to becoming the most extravagant broadcasting corporation ever, for they are planning to send about 84 of their journalists to South Africa. Now what makes that so horrendous? Well, BBC is going to spend £1million at the 110-room Mandela Rhodes Place in Cape Town.
Room rents there cost about £270 and £636 per night. Some of the cool facilities that they would get to enjoy are three gourmet restaurants, a trendy bar, one of the South African city’s hottest jazz venues. In fact, BBC has already been screwed by many people for using tax payers money to send 295 staff to the World Cup in South Africa.
Considering how dismal British performance has been, both on economic, political and sport fronts, this kind of expenditure is surely going to create a lot of bad press, in rival broadcast and print corporations of course. It would be cool to see if the Brits win any medals or not, or if they shall bring back some South African souvenirs like tribal art instead of the coveted medals. BBC will really be scrutinized!

He was locked up for leaving the state around 4:00 PM yesterday, which was a violation of his probation. Over the past weeks, Waka Flocka, born Juaquin Malphurs, has been seen in New York, in addition to a controversial appearance in Gary, Indiana, where eight teens were shot after his show at the World Skating Rink. Sources initially told AllHipHop.com the rapper was supposed to perform at a club in Virginia Beach, VA last night, but was allegedly arrested for smoking marijuana before the show, although this information has not been confirmed. Waka Flocka is due in court this month and will remain incarcerated until his hearing.

The 10 Steps To Freedom And Prosperity: The Truth About Courtrooms, Cash And Credit

This is a story of possibilities that can be created out of the ashes of a crashed economy and vanishing stream of fictitious money.
At this point in history, foreclosures loom for many, jobs are unavailable, jails are booming business, consumer debt continues to increase, the courts do administrative business, and many people are engaged in fighting financial destitution. Financial insecurity is not to be cured by finding a job and working more hours. We are no longer in the 1950's. The people must do the research and take action to preserve our freedom and the schools must improve their history lessons. Accepting what we are told by the powers that be is an agreement to be placed into the slavery of the government.
If you do the research, you will find the threads of information being compiled and cited over the Internet. During the 1930's America became bankrupt and President Roosevelt instructed the people to turn in their gold and silver, and the land was owed by the state. Since that time there has been no money substance, but only a faith that sometime in the future our money will be backed by substance. Federal Reserve Notes that we call "cash" are really promissory notes, meaning they are only promises to pay.
The IRS was created as the collections agency for the bankers so that the people would be threatened into paying back the national debt created within the 10 square miles of Washington DC. This debt has been placed upon the backs of the people ever since and is why we now pay all sorts of taxes. Because the public does not know that we are not liable for the debt, we keep paying. We are told that we are required to pay for licenses for professional work and to drive our cars. We are told we must complete 1040 tax forms, W-4 forms and use our social security numbers on almost any application we fill out. This is the operation of stealth government that shadows and controls the people to rob us of our life's savings produced by our sweat as we go to work every day. With the correct information and by holding a mindset of being natural men and women, we can throw off the yoke of the government and bankers and live the free life as designed by our forefathers.
The government has forced us into debt, bankruptcy, and foreclosure and has told us a convoluted web of lies to feed its appetite and to pay back the slave master bankers who control this country. It's no wonder almost everyone you know must have a second job and has probably already declared at least one bankruptcy.
We have been deceived. We have been lied to and we have been robbed. The whole picture about debt and credit in this country has been deceitfully reversed. We, in fact, are the creditors and extend our own credit to the bankers. Without us they could do no business. We have been led to believe that the banks extend credit to us. The culprits of this lie are the bankers and the government who work together to rob the people in acts of commercial warfare. Our representatives feign helplessness as they maneuver more ways to collect from us. The judiciary assesses our assets and then helps itself to our children and property under threats and duress. Our executive branch secretly carries out its plan to control the world. There are really two forms of government in our country running side by side; the common law government and the government of commerce. However, this view does not to mention the unlawfulness going on in government.
The common law government refers to the people as being free and is based upon common sense. When our country became bankrupt, commerce was a way to trick the people into paying off the national debt in a variety of ways. The people were told they were the debtors and that the bankers were the creditors. This is the exact opposite of the truth. In reality, because there was no longer any gold or silver backing our money, we went to fiat money that is backed by our faith. By an act of Congress, HJR 192 of June 5, 1933 instructed that since the people had no money, that all our debts would be paid dollar for dollar by the U.S. Treasury so that the people could not be legally bound to pay. The people were to use promissory notes, bills of exchange or bonds to discharge their debt. This little known act of Congress would save our people from losing their homes, but instead the government and banks double dip and collect interest off of the people's financial devastation. This should be an outrage to the public.
An acceptance of learning new ways of being and changing our whole perspective about who we are as Americans requires courage, learning, tenacity, and a demand for freedom that many people turn away from. The safety of the known civilian society, however abusive and neglectful of the people, is often more comfortable for the general public to swallow rather than to waking up to the reality of an aggressive government that hurts us and incapacitates us from finding the freedom promised us by our U.S. Constitution. The mainstream media plays an important role in perpetuating the myth of the American Dream. We are conditioned to believe that we can rely on the government to work for the best interests of the American people, that the courts are promoting justice, and that we are a free society. But we are anything but a free society. Our Constitution and bill of rights has become a wall fixture in some room to remind us of men who wrote with quills and wore funny clothes.
The United States of America is a corporation, not a country. You and I are representative of our assigned fictional corporate status that allows the courts and banks to drag us in to commercial business without our knowledge or consent. Your name, from birth, is automatically converted into all capital letters on all your identification, the same as the title of any business or governmental entity. The problem is that we individually are not corporations. You are no longer treated as the flesh and blood man or woman protected under common law and referred to by our Constitution. The result is that we are played as pawns on an assembly line that we don't understand and are not informed of.
Our courtrooms have become boardrooms but the public is still hypnotized into believing that a black robe signifies an honest person of integrity that is interested in upholding justice for all who come into their courtrooms. The truth is that there is no justice to be found in our courtrooms because the laws are not being followed or upheld. We are dealt with as corporate fictional entities that allow the courts to deal with us in commerce. Due process rights violations are the course of the day, and naïve litigants are run over by strong-arm tyranny that goes unchecked. Court litigants are robbed of their children, property, bank accounts, employment and of their health. The public is unaware until they themselves are gripped in the clutches of the web of deceit, fraud and hostility of the judicial machine.
We must learn what's happening to us and not look to the government to tell us, as they will not. We are only needed by government to have the life squeezed out of us to support the government and bankers and to comply with their wishes. This is where research and reading of the law is paramount for our survival as people, as families and as a free country.
To be responsible adults and to ensure our freedom we have to learn the laws of our country and take action over the government ourselves to hold government in check. To leave this to someone else is to allow our lives to be swallowed up by high interest rates, taxes, foreclosures and bankruptcies and other encroachments on the fruits of our labor. We will never get ahead financially by holding a passive personal psychology and taking no action civically.
For example, learning about the requirement of licenses to perform professional work or to drive our private passenger cars are control mechanisms because they can be revoked if we are thought to need controlling or punishment. Researching laws about driver's licenses produces information that only commercial drivers need licenses, and that fees resulting from our driver's licenses bring in revenue for our hungry bureaucracy.
Passage of the Judicial Accountability Initiative Law (J.A.I.L.) would pressure judges to abide by the laws of our country and to treat us as natural persons in Constitutional courts. Do not confuse this with a copycat statewide grand jury initiative created by a local tax group that would lead the public over a cliff. J.A.I.L. can be found online at www.JAIL4Judges.org and is the only statewide grand jury initiative that would not involve judges or any governmental entities and would enable the public to judge whether the judges were doing their jobs correctly. Without judicial accountability there is no justice.
Already the military is being trained to take over the jurisdiction of the local elected law enforcement in different parts of the country, and mock disasters are being staged to psychologically scare and prepare the people to turn over their freedom in order to be kept safe from "terrorists". Our enemies are manufactured deliberately so that the people will be incrementally controlled and eventually routed into camps to live. How dare we populate the earth and use the natural resources. The world will be controlled by the one world order unless the people around the world decide to be free.
This brief introduction into the farcical nature of the money system and government is a starting point for the public to learn how to get free of the tyranny that hobbles them. We can only go on what information we have, and if it is the wrong information we can easily be controlled and injured. There is no knight in shining armor that will come to rescue us; we must rescue ourselves.
We need recovery for ourselves to gain lives of prosperity. We may call this recovery from the denial of our slave status, and recovery would be living in a free society. We must awaken to the nightmare before us, and together find the courage to change things. But first we must have the willingness to change ourselves, our beliefs and perspectives, and accept a complete paradigm shift about who we are in America and where we stand concerning the government.
The ten suggested steps to freedom and prosperity are as follows:
1. Read the California (or your state's) and U.S. Constitution by going to your local representative's office and asking for a free paperback copy.
2. Research who the Constitution is to hold in check, the people or the government. Understand who the Constitution was written for and why.
3. Do an Internet search on the word "Redemption". Get familiar with terms such as UCC, public policy, HJR 192, negotiable instruments, acceptance for value and return for closure, secured party, third party, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, unilateral contracts, common law, free sovereign and the straw man.
4. Make a decision about who is to live your life, you or someone/something else?
5. Spend time sitting in courtrooms as an observer to see what goes on. Take notes, and do searches on terminology that you are unfamiliar with at sites such as www.findlaw.com. Reflect upon what you witnessed in the court to decide whether both sides had been treated fairly and whether the judge seemed knowledgeable about the law and about what was being said. Research any laws that were referred to, if any.
6. Ask yourself if you are doing as well as you would like to be doing in business or employment.
7. Write letters questioning the various government departments about the quality of life in your area and analyze whether they answered your questions satisfactorily.
8. Become a detective about how money is created and used in this country. Research who controls the money, how money is created and what real value it holds.
9. Research the IRS and decide if you should fill out a 1040 form, a 1041 form, and a W-4 form. Learn about whether social security is a voluntary program or not and what laws these forms are based upon. See if you can find where paying taxes and the IRS is referred to in the U.S. Constitution.
10. Create a mindset of independence from government. Trust your feelings and judgment about things. Envision the life you would love to live and create the feeling that you already have it. Decide what life you deserve to have and live with the courage and tenacity to obtain it. Talk to others about what you are learning and invite them to work the Ten Steps to Freedom and Prosperity also.
At this point you can make the choice to create freedom and prosperity in your life by starting the journey as outlined above or you can continue to trudge the confused, impotent, stressed, fearful life that the masters dictate to you. Once you realize that you are not living as a free man or woman, you can begin to understand who your masters are and how conditioning has reduced us to the compliant slaves that we are. We can stop paying someone else's debt and remove the shackles that bind us. Decide what your life is worth as a free human being and then go for it.
